San Antonio Youth Ballet (SAYB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and San Antonio’s premier pre-professional dance training program, dedicated to cultivating the art of dance among future generations. Founded under the leadership of Artistic Director Danielle Campbell Steans, SAYB provides exceptional training and performance opportunities for talented dancers ages 10-18, preparing them for careers in dance, college scholarships, or simply to fulfill their passion for the art.
San Antonio Youth Ballet’s mission is to cultivate the art of dance among future generations through full-length productions, performance and competition opportunities at the local and national levels, and community outreach programming, particularly in areas where access to the arts is limited.
SAYB’s impact extends beyond the stage: we have partnered with organizations like the Boys and Girls Clubs of San Antonio, the Battered Women and Children’s Shelter, and the Martinez Street Women’s Center, and have performed at major venues such as the Tobin Center, Carver Community Cultural Center, and McNay Art Museum. Through our commitment to artistic excellence and community engagement, SAYB is shaping the next generation of dancers and arts advocates in San Antonio.
Coming Up!! San Antonio Youth Ballet presents The Ballet Ball, The Swan Soirée
The Ballet Ball is San Antonio Youth Ballet’s signature annual fundraiser, raising essential funds for youth scholarships and access to a high quality dance education. Through our partnership with San Antonio Ballet School, we proudly offer low-cost tuition ballet classes throughout Bexar County each week. As a school certified in the American Ballet Theatre® National Training Curriculum, we are committed to nurturing the next generation of dancers with excellence, equity, and heart.
